Security Installation in Westward Ho Wins Chris Lewis Fire & Security 'UK Installer of the Year'

Project Background
Located on the seafront at Westwood Ho North Devon, Nassau Court consists of 28 luxury apartments and penthouses. The developers required video recognition security technology for both the vehicle and pedestrian entrances to the flats.
The Solution
The solution that Chris Lewis Fire & Security recommended was to install Urmet Domus' K-Steel entrance panels at the reception and also to the entrance of the car park, as well as Urmet's Atlantico video door phones in each of the flats.
Chris Lewis, Managing Director of Chris Lewis Fire & Security commented, "The external equipment was chosen because of its resistance to corrosion from weather elements which was particularly relevant to this installation in view of the harsh sea front environment of the flats.
Working closely with Urmet Domus we were able to produce detailed schematics of the installation. These diagrams helped the client to understand the system's components and ensure there were no issues at the time of installation. The security equipment has met all the developer's requirements and the installation has therefore been a great success."
Urmet's Atlantico is a modern streamlined electronic video door phone with a 4" flat screen designed by industrial architect Michele De Lucchi.
The Result
The installation at Nassau Court won Chris Lewis Fire & Security the prestigious title of 'UK Installer of the Year' at the 2006 Urmet Domus 'Installer of the Year Awards'.
The awards which are independently judged by a panel from Professional Security Magazine, recognise installers that consistently install to the highest standards and offer their customers unparalleled support and service.
At the awards presentation Chris Lewis was presented with an engraved trophy and a cheque for £500, which he donated to CLIC Sargent, the UK's leading children's cancer charity.
