We are delighted to have been selected as finalists in the Best IT Initiative category of the forthcoming Security Excellence Awards.
The nomination is in recognition of our specialist IT skills and our continued investment in IT to improve our internal communications, systems and customer service. This is the second consecutive year that we have reached the final in this award category.
Now in its seventh year, the Security Excellence Awards are organised by Security Management Today, Security Installer and CCTV Today. Winners of the various categories will be announced at a glittering ceremony taking place in London later this year.
Chris Lewis Fire & Security is now recognised as a leader in the field of integrating innovative IT solutions in security installations. Our successful nomination in the Best IT Initiative category was as a result of a number of initiatives including:
- the introduction of a highly secure VPN that provides key personnel with remote access to the company network
- the integration of all customer information channels onto a single database
- our investment in PDAs for our engineers
- our investment in satellite tracking for all our company vehicles.
Three years ago we invested in an IT department, a move that was considered groundbreaking within the industry at the time. This years Security Excellence Award nomination recognises our specialist IT skills and our successful application of innovative IT solutions in a number of installations including a recently completed project at Oxford University.
Chris Lewis, Managing Director says: "Advancements in technology are changing the way the security industry works. We have consistently embraced new technology as it is developed and comes to market. With our IT specialists working in close conjunction with our team of engineers, we are uniquely placed to explore the opportunities and possibilities of new technology to the benefit of our customers. We are thrilled to have been recognised by the Security Excellence Awards for the second year running and we will continue to invest and develop our technology to further improve our services."
