Chris Lewis Fire & Security has secured a 3-year contract to maintain the University of Southampton's intruder alarm and door access systems.
This new contract expands the company's existing fire alarm contract to include the maintenance of security systems within academic and residential buildings across the university campus.
The security maintenance contract was put out to tender and Chris Lewis Fire & Security beat off competition from leading security companies including the incumbent Chubb, as well as G4S, Network Security and Alarms, and Romec. Mike Covill, Branch Director, Chris Lewis Fire & Security commented, "We're absolutely delighted to have taken over this contract from Chubb. We have developed a close working relationship with the University of Southampton having maintained their fire systems for the past 12 years, and aim to continue delivering the great service they've come to expect from us."
