Chris Lewis Fire & Security is celebrating news that it has achieved bronze level status over and above the standard Investors In People (IIP) Award.
The enhanced scheme, launched in May 2009, introduces three new tiers above the basic standard, and aims to promote and recognise a higher level of achievement than the original scheme. In order to qualify for one of the new accredititations, companies must undergo re-assessment of their existing IIP standard against a range of additional criteria.
Chris Lewis, Managing Director of Chris Lewis Fire & Security, comments, "This was our first attempt at accreditation under the more stringent IIP certification, and I'm delighted that we passed with flying colours. This is a real testament to our people and to the processes that we have in place here to ensure that every member of our team, whether based in our Oxford, Southampton or Bournemouth offices, receives the right level of training and support to enable them to perform to the best of their abilities."
The IIP bronze assessment took place over three days and involved the assessors travelling to the company's offices in Oxford and Southampton to interview over 30 members of staff from each branch. The results showed that Chris Lewis Fire & Security values were embedded into every aspect of the business and that employees were continually inspired and motivated by their managers to improve their own performance.
