The European Standards Series for Intruder Alarm Systems, EN50131, has been brought in to replace the current Standards - BS4737 or 7042 for high security and BS6799 for wireless systems. European Standards have been accepted by the insurance industry and the Association of British Insurers (ABI) would now like companies that install intruder alarm systems to apply them.
